Mod Logging

Automatic logging of moderation and server actions.

Last updated on

Mod logging gives you a running, automatic record of moderation actions and server events, posted to channels you configure. This is the backbone of accountability for a server with more than one moderator — everyone can see what actions were taken, by whom, and why.

All logging commands are grouped under /log and require Manage Server.

/log autosetup

Automatically creates and configures the logging channels Lumière needs, using sensible defaults. This is the fastest way to get logging running — most servers only need this one command.

Manual setup

/log setup

Walks you through configuring logging channels yourself if you want more control than autosetup gives you — for example, routing different types of logs to different existing channels.

Manage ignored entities

/log ignore

Lets you exclude specific channels, roles, or users from being logged — useful if you have a staff-only channel that generates a lot of noise you don't need recorded.

What gets logged

Once configured, mod logging automatically records moderation actions (bans, kicks, mutes, warns) as they happen — you don't need to do anything extra once setup is complete. This works alongside Cases, which is your searchable record; mod logging is the real-time feed of the same information.
