Bot Offline or Not Responding

1. Check Lumière's status in your member list

If Lumière shows as offline in your member list, the bot itself is down — this usually resolves on its own shortly. There's nothing to configure on your end for this case.

2. If Lumière shows online but doesn't respond

• Run /ping first — if that responds, the bot is fine and the issue is likely specific to one command (see Common Issues).
• Check that Lumière has Send Messages and View Channel permission in the channel you're testing in. A missing channel-level permission override is a common, easy-to-miss cause.
• Try the command in a different channel to confirm whether it's channel-specific or server-wide.

3. Slash commands not appearing at all

Slash command registration can occasionally lag behind, especially right after Lumière joins a server or after an update. Give it a few minutes; if commands still aren't showing up after that, try kicking and re-inviting the bot.

4. Still nothing?

If none of the above resolves it, it's likely an issue on Lumière's end rather than your server's configuration. Check our Status Page for ongoing incident reports.
